The achievements over the past year came at a time of significant disruptions across global agriculture. Geopolitical uncertainty, declining public investment, and extreme weather made 2025 a challenging year for the entire sector.

Especially now, this year’s theme Changing the Landscape resonates with the work we do. Taken literally, we are working to develop more resilient crops that can tangibly transform outcomes in the field. At the same time, we are adapting to the new landscape by identifying new pathways, partnerships, and funding models to ensure this work continues to move forward.

Expanding Global Partnerships Across the Innovation Chain
2Blades expanded collaborations with leading research institutions, private sector partners, and international organizations to advance disease-resistant varieties in soybean, corn, potato, and other staple crops.

Convening Global Leaders at the World Food Prize
At the 2025 World Food Prize, 2Blades co-hosted a high-profile Deep Dive session focused on examining how innovative public-private collaborations can accelerate agricultural research and development to address critical challenges in global agri-food systems. The discussion brought together global leaders to identify practical strategies to revitalize investment, improve efficiencies, and accelerate the delivery of agricultural innovations from discovery to impact.

Highlighting the People Behind the Science
Through its Spotlight Series, 2Blades showcased the scientists, partners, and emerging leaders driving its work forward. The series underscores the global talent and collaboration at the heart of delivering agricultural innovation.

Securing New Funding to Accelerate Impact
