Dr. van Tunen is an experienced CEO in AgFood biotech, including 19 years at KeyGene NV, The Netherlands as CEO. He has experience in Supervisory Boards, Executive Boards of organizations in different parts of the world, as well as experience in F&C and particularly also on Intellectual Property management and enforcement.

Following his leadership role at KeyGene, he currently serves as an Advisor of several companies including RijkZaan, AnnoGen, arbitrator of the ACLP, (supervisory) Board Member of the Water R&D organization KWR, FoodValley, and a Coach of Ag Biotech start up companies of StartLife In Wageningen and Biotope in Ghent.

Dr. van Tunen is also involved regularly in assesments of potential investments of VC in promising Ag Biotech startups. He is also Chair of the Program Steering Committee of a Thermo Cas9 Gene Editing project of BioTech Booster in The Netherlands.
